"A PC to show you where we drink coffee
after dinner, but no one wears hat like the horrors here shown.
Willy is the Barman who concocts weird drinks for the poor unfortunates
to swallow! Many thanks to Gran for her letter. WGJ."

The page from the diary describing the arrival in Berchtesgarden,
transcribed before...
from now on it was married life, and getting used to being called
Mrs Jackson!
In her diary of 1910, while away from home on a visit to Italy
with her brother, she notes on June 5th: "Nine years
ago today I was married to that best of men, I wonder how many can
boast of 9 solid years of real true happiness such as I have had."
...and in a little addition at the top of this same page is another
entry, this time dated August 31st, 1930. "and
now the years have reached 29! and still the "happiness"
continues."
